General Description
EMI Cable Management Systems are tested, proven and trusted by our many clients in the oil and gas industry. We designed each system for the fastest set up, breakdown and transportation possible. What took days now take hours.
Skid-mounted for easiest transportation and assembly, with connectorized cabl es for immediate “Plug and Play” assembly. Easily collapses down for ease of transportation. Within most transportation dimension and weight requirements, for trucking, rail or ship.
Cables are organized, protected from both damage and theft, with much longer life of the equipment and less downtime to replace cables.
Can be modified-to-fit your specifications, with the option of adding cable saddles after installation for additional cable load. Optional covers are also available for extreme environmental conditions. Stainless steel or three coat epoxy paint, per your specifications.

CMS 1100 Pioneer Class
Our Pioneer Class handles cabling traveling from the SCR house, mud pumps, and other rig components to the drill floor. The system’s rapid development design can reduce setup time from several days down to just a few hours. The skidding drag chain makes for smooth and organized operation. The incorporated pivoting grasshopper attaches to the drill floor and follows it through with 120 degrees of perpendicular motion. The system includes an auxiliary arm that folds out towards the SCR house to allow cable connections to the SCR cable panel and also a swing arm that feeds the draw works cables.

CMS 1200 Tundra Class
The Tundra Class is ideal for extreme-cold environments. The skids house a designated area for storage of winterized tarps, a sheet metal pan for heat loss prevention and cable trays to organize and support cable. Drag chains are EMI 200 Series models, traveling along the designed-in rail. A guide trolley attaches to the rig and pulls the drag chain.

CMS 1500- Vanguard I Class
The Vanguard I Class consists of a skid-mounted rolling cage that houses a series of hinged, upright, articulated arms, containing cables running from the SCR to the drill floor. Supports a 450 Series drag chain. Drag chain attaches to the hinged grasshopper arm that extends to attach to the drill floor. The cage rolls on a series of stackable skids that are placed in-line of one another as needed. Resembling an accordion, the cage will push and pull on the series of hinged arms, collapsing and extending in an accordion-like manner.

CMS 1500- Vanguard II Class
The Vanguard II Class consists of a stationary skeletal cage and a series of hinged, upright, articulated arms, containing cables running from the SCR to the drill floor. The articulated arms roll out of the cage on a track system. Ideal for extreme environments.

CMS 1400 - Sentinel I Class
The Sentinel I is ideal for cold-weather applications. Skids are weatherproofed with removable sheet metal covers spanning the entire length of the system. The 450 Series drag chain integrates into a series of transportable skids. Covers optimally designed to avoid snow and debris accumulation. The low-profile design makes this system unobtrusive in all drilling operations and allows for easy access to cables.

CMS 1400 – Sentinel II Class
The Sentinel II is configured of a series of covered suitcases and movable connector boxes. The suitcases protect and contain all cables coming from the SCR house, bringing them to a series of connector boxes. The 450 Series drag chain receives cable runs from the connector box and attaches to a series of small skids for easy transportation with the incorporated cable load. Easy connectivity allows for adaptability in a constantly changing drilling environment, allowing flexibility to the end user.

CMS 1400 – Sentinel III Class
The Sentinel III is equipped with metal door covers on suitcases, providing a safe walking surface with easy access to any point of the cable run. Integrates a 450 Series drag chain with a hinged suitcase system and attached connector box.The suitcases fold into one manageable unit containing all cables for transportation purposes. The low profile and minimal footprint ensures that the system cab be positioned in close proximity to the rig during all phases of operation interference or collision with other equipment. Optional winterized tarps make this system ideal for cold-weather applications.

CMS 1300- Outreach I Class
Contains a 450 Series skidding drag chain in base cage mounted directly to transportable skid. Houses a 200 Series self-supporting drag chain that feeds cables into a retractable arm. The Outreach I Class consists of a skeletal rolling cage structure and a base skid. Telescoping arms attach to the rig by means of two D-rings welded to the end of the arm. Once these rings are engaged, the cage can begin to skid out by means of rollers bolted to the bottom of the skeletal cage. Additional skids can be placed as needed to provide a surface to roll on. Additional travel can be achieved once the system is fully extended.
CMS 1300 II – Outreach Class II
Our self-contained CMS consisting of a skeletal rolling cage structure and a base skid. The cage houses a 200 Series self-supporting drag chain that feeds the cables into a retractable arm. A base supporting cage contains a 450 Series skidding drag chain mounted directly to the base. The arm attaches to the rig by means of two D-rings welded to the end of the arm. Once these rings are engaged, the cage can begin to skid out by means of rollers bolted to the bottom of the skeletal cage. Foldable supports outfitted with heavy-duty rollers hold and control the extending arm and can be dropped as needed.

CMS 1700 – Rotating Class
Our self-contained cable management system consists of a hinged walkway that houses connectorized cables. The arm extension swings 270 degrees to provide power to lower levels of equipment. The swinging arm contains a 200 Series drag chain that houses all cables and allows for smooth and controlled

CMS 1600 Atlas Class
Atlas Class is a motor driven system ideal for land rig applications requiring connectivity to remote power sources. The motor driven system integrates a 200 Series drag chain with an attached cantilevered arm and connector panel. Covers for extreme weather conditions are available.
System shown extends and retracts 15 feet (4.5 m).

Elevated Festoon Cable System
A collapsible series of rolling saddle assemblies that travel along an elevated structural rail system. Each saddle assembly is attached to the assembly immediately in front and behind it by means of a high strength, stainless steel wire rope to ensure organized and controllable movement as the assemblies roll along the elevated rail. When the festoon system is being extended, the taut stainless steel wire rope pulls on the saddle assembly directly behind. Bumpers attached to each assembly come in contact with their counterpart bumpers on the next assembly and push the next assembly back when the system is being retracted. Bumpers help to maintain the cable bend radius.
Can be built to extreme low temperature application requirements.

Elevated Walkways With Integrated Cables Trays
An Interconnected complex of elevated walkways with integrated cable trays. Hinged doors allow easy access to cabling. When closed, the doors become a walking surface, protecting your personnel from a possible walking hazard and your cabling from damage and wear.
Walkways can be designed to fit your pre-existing facility or new construction.

Articulated Arm With Integrated Connection Box
Hinged articulated arm with an attached connection box. Arms integrate a series of cable trays to organize cabling. Can be supplied with connectorized cables to allow for immediate use after installation. Optional covers are available for extreme environments.

Festoon Systems
We manufacture a unique, stainless steel system allowing an increase in the number of cables carried without completely replacing the festoon. The swivel design allows cables to be closely drawn together without damage.
Cables remain in position and are protected from undue stress when extended. The Two-Ton Trolley is the industry standard size, but other sizes are available. Cable saddles are height adjustable and can be added after installation for additional cable load.
When the festoon system is being extended, the taut stainless steel wire rope pulls on the saddle assembly directly behind it. Bumpers help to maintain cable bend radius.
The system can be built for extreme low temperature applications.
