The US Department of Energy (DOE) had an operating budget of $32.5 billion in 2017. DOE projects include energy production and research, the maintenance of the country’s nuclear reactors and weapons, radioactive waste disposal, and energy conservation. With energy production from oil and natural gas so prevalent in the Gulf Coast region, EMI’s partnership with the DOE is a natural fit in several critical endeavors.
Our Process
EMI provides platforms for the DOE at its Strategic Oil Reserve storage sites along the coast of Texas and Louisiana. Our platforms are a perfect fit for the remote environment of the storage sites because they are modular in design, which promotes easy transportation; they are easy to install on uneven terrain; and their frameworks are prefabricated to accelerate installation. We also provide upgrades such as stairs and walkways to existing structures. Additional EMI-DOE projects include USDA communications towers used in forest systems.
Our Experience
The common thread of all our projects is getting the understanding of what our customers wants and making sure they get what they need. In business since 1999, EMI has cultivated great relationships with our customers by always treating them like people, not projects. Our satisfaction arises from customers who come away with perfect solutions to their toughest challenges. We can take customer previsualized designs or work with them to engineer custom solutions. Our on-site fabrication facility allows us to begin work on your project the same day you give approval on design.
